Since Memorial Day Weekend is quickly coming to a close I decided to do a weekend-log. I didn't do much this weekend but it certainly feels like I did a lot.
On Friday morning I woke up at 645am. Far to early for life. I normally don't wake before 10ish. I woke up early to go and pick up Eliza, my friend Vanessa's 4 year old. Eliza is amazingly cute and funny. Its so much fun to spend time with her. After I collected her from her mom we went to Dunkin Donuts. I asked "Drive thru or go in?" The answer was to go in and have breakfast. It takes a 4 year old an awfully long time to eat one donut. We went to my house and fed the rabbits and played with Penny. Eliza found a lolly-pop in Shawn's truck so Penny tried to steal the candy. Yes, I feed small children sugar in the wee hours of the morning. After I refused to play many varieties of tag claiming tag to be too loud and not wanting to run we went to the shop to bring Mum coffee. Then to the playground we went. Only to leave very quickly, because it still wasn't even 10 and the library wasn't even open, so Eliza could pee. Back to the park after the use of the toilet. Eliza actually got me to see-saw with her and then she yelled at me when I was swinging too high. After an hour or so of playgrounding I realised she wasn't wearing sun block and it was very sunny out. I cant very well send a pasty white child home to her mother with a sun burn. We went home to search for Mum's new Avon sunblock, which in the 3 days it had been in the house it had gone missing. I was called back to the garden shop for one reason or another and Eliza decided while we were there she needed to buy flowers for her mommy. It was very nice of her to buy stuff when she doesn't have any money. We picked out some pretty yellow and purple funny shaped flowers for Vanessa. Then Eliza needed some for herself . At first she picked out $10 daisies, something I was not paying for. Finally she picked out some pretty pink flowers in a hanger. Next she wanted to find flowers for me and her sister Marion. I talked her into sharing with Marion but I couldn't get out of not picking something for myself. I found the tiniest cheapest plant I could find. It was little and yellow. After our shopping excursion we went back home to find Shawn and play with him and the bunnies while I got ready for work. The ride from home to Plymouth was fun. The entire time Eliza kept telling Shawn and I we weren't allowed to talk. She kept playing with the radio just to annoy us. When we got to work Eliza ran in to show Vanessa the pretty flowers we bought her. She was so excited. I started to work while Vanessa and Eliza went home. I find it very helpful to watch Vanessa's kids and then be able to go to work and drop them off all at the same time. I cant very well have Vanessa miss a whole day of work when I don't do anything all morning. The babysitting part of Friday was a lot of fun. The work part wasn't. Because Eliza and I were dropped off at work at 1pm I had to wait for Mum to come collect me at 6. She was running late, she was held up at work. It only sucked because I could have left at 530 to go and deliver something but I didn't leave until 615 when Mum arrived. After our detour to Staffard we went and spent $15 at Burger King. When the hell did Burger King get so expensive? Finally getting home at 7, I went to bed at 9 and continued to sleep until noon on Saturday. How I love a good long 15 hour nap.
Okay -- leverage here -- wherever you type the word Avon in your blog, make it a hyperlink to your website. I have picked up a couple of e-customers I don't even know through my blog. Every little bit helps!
