I just went outside to call Travis in for the night. Travis is a ten year old outdoor cat. She has far exceeded her lifespan. Now that shes kind of old I don’t like her staying out all night long. I am afraid a coyote or car will get her. So, I opened the door and started to shut it behind me, Penny decided she was coming too. Penny pushed the door open and started to book it. I grabbed her collar but it didn’t help. She almost took me down the stairs. I grabbed the railing and she knocked me to my knees and ran away. Shes such a pain. Travis came up to the driveway in the commotion.
I am not upset that the stupid dog ran away or that my knee is scrapped now. I am super pissed about the fact my nail is broken. I hate when I break nails, well in this case Penny broke my nail. And all she did was run around the yard looking for the wildlife that must have been out there when I decided to go out. Thank god it wasn’t another skunk. That dog would have been sent to the pound if she got sprayed again.
Now I am in bed. Penny is sleeping on the floor at the foot of my bed. As soon as she thinks I am asleep she will climb up on my bed and go back to sleep.
Four minutes after I posted this Penny jumped on my bed and laid on my feet.
